The West Bend Theatre Company announces the cast for the 2020 production of Charles Dickens’ classic tale “A Christmas Carol.”
Returning as Ebenezer Scrooge is community theater veteran Don Pountain. Also returning as Charles Dickens is Nolan Zadra. Both played their respective roles in 2019. There are 10 performers in all returning for the 2020 production who did the West Bend Theatre Company’s “A Christmas Carol” in 2019 – Megan Bell, Nicholas Dettmann, Alek Konrath, Nina Pheng, Viney Pheng, Pountain, Gracie Reinhard, Isaac Wagner, Makayla Weddig and Zadra.
Joining the cast of returning performers is a talented collection of people who are no strangers to the theater in and around West Bend, and a few will make their theatre debuts. Here is the cast for West Bend Theatre Company’s “A Christmas Carol”:

Local theatre veteran and award-winning actor Alan Jordan is this year’s director. The director’s crew includes Sarah Burger (costumes), John Ehlke (videographer), Sue Garvey (choreographer), Kaitlin Holbrook (lighting/sound), Loren Rinehart (construction lead/stage manager), Braydon Shewczyk (assistant director), Jessica Sosnoski (music director) and Nancy Storrs (producer).
“I was impressed with the quality of the acting and the music skills,” Jordan said. “I’m excited to see the actors develop their characters.”
Rehearsals will be done primarily through Zoom, including some musical rehearsals. When the time comes to meet for in-person rehearsals, social distancing and wearing of masks will be emphasized by all performers and crew members. The West Bend Theatre Company takes the guidance and recommendations set forth by health officials seriously, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We understand and respect the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Dettmann, communications/marketing manager for the West Bend Theatre Company and a member of its board of directors. “We are taking every precaution we can to assure a safe environment for our performers and all the people that will be working to put on this production.”
Ticket information for “A Christmas Carol” has not yet been determined.
